Relaxing Spirit, Body and Mind…
APPARENTLY September in Bali is rather hot as it rarely rains after April. Nevertheless, it does not matter because your day will always be shinny and your scheduled outdoor activities will never get disturbed.
Our newsletter of this September’s edition will highlight ritual activities held by Hindu community in Bali. Right on September 13, Hindu devotees in Bali will celebrate Tumpek Wayang. It is a special festivity for those getting involved in puppetry show entertainment. In local tradition, puppeteer has the same position as the temple priest, traditional architect (undagi) and healer. As entertainer, the puppeteer serves as agent disseminating religious teaching to community in a simple language. On Tumpek Kandang, puppeteers give ritual to their puppet and the equipment in use and invoke to Lord Ishvara in order they can always get protection in performing their task and their work of art can be beneficial for the public.
Another interesting event is the Bali Women’s Retreat, featuring Women’s Yoga, Ayurveda and Bellydance Retreat, offering a 7-day journey through yoga, Ayurveda and tribal fusion bellydance. The figures getting involved in this program include Mei Lai Swan, Carla Beasley and Lakita Lynes. So, it is a good opportunity to experience Bali in different way from what other travelers commonly do.
Last but not least, Bali will also host an important event related to spa industry namely the Indonesia Spa & Wellness Expo and Festival (ISWEF) highlighting the new tourism trend in leisure beauty and health. As beauty tradition dug from the Indonesian heritage, spa industry has showed a rapid growth through the years. Through this event the experts, practitioners and businessmen will share knowledge and experience in seminar.
As a tourist destination, Bali keeps on discovering innovation to add the series of products at hand and enrich the experience of travelers. Other than the existing charms of nature, culture and adventure, this Island of the Gods will continuously work on the other attractive tourism potentials.
Always get in touch with the BVP Monthly Newsletter to obtain new brief information on the activities of tourism and people on the Island of Bali. All the year round, there will be interesting activities to see at all times. Hopefully, you could enjoy the charms while relaxing your spirit, body and mind!
