Corporate Newsletter November 2014
WITHOUT being realized, we have arrived near the end of this year. Perhaps due to our daily routines, the time seems to have gone by so fast. Nevertheless, so far Bali remains to offer beautiful sunny day being for your leisure sojourn.
Unlike in the previous months, November has a few ritual events in Bali. The prominent one is Tumpek Uduh. It is celebrated on Saniscara (Saturday) Kliwon Wariga (Nov 22) as an expression of gratitude for cultivated plants such as fruit and flower trees. In the belief of Balinese Hindus, the ritual is also a notification in order they can bear fruits and produce abundant flowers. Thus, Hindu devotees get sufficient ingredients to prepare their offerings for Galungan fest in 25 days to go.
Conversely, the island continues to host some MICE events dominated by scientific meetings. They include the Pan Ocean Remote Sensing Conference (Nov 3-6). In essence, it will highlight the understanding on the environmental processes such as climate variability, the effects of El Nino and oceanic hazards.
Then, there will be the Asia-Pacific Society of Respirology Congress (Nov 13-16). As scheduled, the organization having around 15,000 members in 40 countries will discuss about the promotion and knowledge on the respiratory system.
Another MICE event organized this month is the Asia Pacific Digestive Week (APDW) on November 22-25. This meeting is hosted by four medical professional organizations. The main topic to be discussed will be around the endoscopy track, gastrointestinal track tracks and others.
