A Celebration for Harmony of Nature
Coinciding with the first edition of our Newsletter, we’re glad to highlight many festive celebrations held this March to express sincere gratitude to God for the blessing of knowledge (Saraswati) and peacefulness across the universe (Pagerwesi and Nyepi).
Most interestingly, our guests will witness the Hindus who will celebrate their Caka New Year 1936. Right on the Nyepi or Day of Silence (Mar 31), Bali will absolutely fall into darkness as no light is allowed, except for hospital and limited use to tourist accommodation; silence to nearly ‘zero decibel’ as no entertainment is allowed and people do no activities including no vehicles are allowed to move on the road throughout Bali except for emergency case. Devotees perform meditation at home and the interfaith tolerance goes well. Ultimately, people experience a ‘newly-born nature’ as it has been totally free from pollution for 24 hours.
Meanwhile, this maiden issue also features some anniversaries (piodalan) in temples across Bali falling this March. The no less important is the event like Bali Spirit Festival and Bali International Spa & Wellness Expo.
Make sure you have the opportunity to witness and experience this rare atmosphere, cultural tradition and wellbeing-related events. Our hotels and villas under the Bali Villa Properties (BVP) management are happy to offer some special programs for you.
